In the city center of Tromsø, Wi-To Café & Bar welcomes you into one of the city’s most historic buildings. The Wi-To name dates back to 1921 when the Willumsen family opened a small tobacco store, soon to become a local landmark and meeting place for generations.
Today, Wi-To still sells tobacco and has been lovingly transformed into a cosy café & bar, keeping its heritage alive while offering a warm Tromsø atmosphere. Here you can enjoy traditional Norwegian waffles, homemade soups, reindeer sausages, local craft beer, quality wines, and classic drinks, served where history and modern life meet.
Stepping inside feels a bit like walking into old Tromsø, a place where locals once stopped by for newspapers, matches, and their regular tobacco supplies.

We offer one of the broadest selections of tobacco products available in Northern Norway. Cigars in different sizes and qualities, cigarettes, including both everyday brands and more exclusive options. A wide range of snus is also at the shop.
Even though Wi-To has grown into a modern meeting place with coffee, waffles, soups and a fully licensed bar, its tobacco corner continues to be a charming piece of history. It’s a small reminder of what the shop once was, and a unique part of Tromsø’s living heritage.
